South America is the fourth largest continent of the Western Hemisphere. It is divided politically into 12 independent countries namely Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela and the overseas department of French Guiana. The continent extends to 7,640 kilometers from Punta Gallinas, Colombia, in the north to Cape Horn, Chile, in the south.
 
South America is connected to North America by the Isthmus of Panama. It is washed on the north by the Caribbean Sea, on the east by the Atlantic Ocean, and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. Topographically the continent is divided into three sections namely the South American cordillera, the interior lowlands, and the continental shield. Roman Catholicism is the dominant religion and Portuguese and Spanish are the primary languages of the continent.
 
Miramar is one of South America’s most popular destinations, and is well known for the quantity of cultural related attractions and monuments. It is a city in the Broward County of Florida in United States. The city was named after a town in Cuba and is located at around 25 degrees 58 minutes to north and 80 degrees 16 minutes to the west.
 
Miramar city has a total area of 80.3 square kilometers while 76.4 square kilometers of it is land and 3.9 square kilometers of it is water. As of 2004 census, the city listed population of about 101,486 inhabitants. There were 25,905 housing units at an average density of 339.1 per kilometer. The city's official motto is beauty and progress and is the home to the broadcast facilities.
 
Presently, Miramar experiences a sharp social, economic and population growth derivative of the strategic position of the locality and the high level of well-being and quality of life that is enjoyed with respect to other places of South America.
