South America is the fourth largest continent of the Western Hemisphere. The continent extends to 7,640 kilometers from Punta Gallinas, Colombia, in the north to Cape Horn, Chile, in the south.
 
South America is connected to North America by the Isthmus of Panama. It is washed on the north by the Caribbean Sea, on the east by the Atlantic Ocean, and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. Topographically the continent is divided into three sections namely the South American cordillera, the interior lowlands, and the continental shield. Roman Catholicism is the dominant religion and Portuguese and Spanish are the primary languages of the continent.
 
Carlos Pellegrini is one of South America’s most popular destinations, and is well known for the quantity of cultural related attractions and monuments. It is a town in the center-west of Santa Fe Province, Argentina. It is located in the center-west of Santa Fe province at the intersection of routes 13 and 66, at about 170 km from the provincial capital. The geography of the area is slightly surged with unvarying uniqueness and slight slopes, which help with communications.
 
According to the 2001 census, Carlos Pellegrini listed a population of 5,062 inhabitants with a total of 2,555 women and 2,507 men. The economy of the town is mainly farming and cattle as the soil is very appropriate for agriculture. The area is located in an elevated terrain, at about 101 meters that allows the natural draining of waters on all four points of the compass.
 
Presently, Carlos Pellegrini experiences a sharp social, economic and population growth derivative of the strategic position of the locality and the high level of well-being and quality of life that is enjoyed with respect to other places of South America.
